Bookstore Closed July 4 Weekend

The Book Corner will be closed Friday and Saturday, July 4-5, 2014, in observance of Independence Day.  L. “Sam” Sofaer, store manager, reminded customers that the bookstore will be closed Sunday and Monday, as usual, and will reopen Tuesday, July 7.

The Book Corner is operated by New Friends of the Beaverton City Library, with a wide selection of recent bestsellers, classic fiction, nonfiction and children’s books, in addition to an online store through Amazon. Proceeds benefit library programs and equipment at the main library and the Murray-Scholls branch library.

Donations of gently used books, music CDs and movies (DVDs) are welcome during store hours, and donations are tax-deductible. Please do not leave donated materials when the bookstore is closed. The Book Corner cannot accept books with moisture damage, smoke or other odors. For questions about what kinds of materials are needed please call the manager at 503-643-5188.
