New Location for Annual Meeting

The NFBCL annual meeting and program on Sat., Oct. 4, 2014, will be held at the Beaverton Community Center, 12350 S.W. Fifth Street. The program begins at 2 p.m., with local author Stevan Allred reading from and discussing his collection of short stories, “A Simplified Map of the Real World.”

Because of a scheduling conflict, the meeting location was changed from the Beaverton City Library to the Community Center directly across the street from the library, on S.W. Fifth St., said Margaret Kelleher, NFBCL President.

“We’re fortunate to be able to use the Community Center’s large meeting room,” she said, adding that the new location will have parking available.

The program will continue as planned, with the short story reading and discussion, refreshments, and a brief meeting of the New Friends of the Beaverton City Library. NFBCL members and the public are invited to attend this free event.

Refreshments and floral arrangements provided by New Seasons Market and Beaverton Florist.
