Books on quilting, appliqué and embroidery will be featured at an outdoor “yard sale” on Saturday, September 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tables will be set up at the corner of S.W. Fifth and Washington, across from the City Park fountain and across the street from The Book Corner. The sale will continue in the bookstore through the following week, September 16-20, 2014.
Thanks to a generous donor, there will be lots of books on needlework arts to choose from. Plan to shop early for the best selection. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
The Book Corner is operated by the New Friends of the Beaverton City Library. The store sells gently used books, movies (DVDs) and music (CDs) donated by the community. Proceeds benefits Beaverton’s two libraries.
